For my current project i'm trying to read data off the ADXL 355 with a analog discovery and the wavefoms software using the I2C protocol. As I'm new to this field i'm having a hard time interpreting the data coming from the sensor.
It seems my circuit from the ADXL to the analog discovery is functional(see photo 1 for test) i'm running Vsupply as 2.5V and i'm using 1kOhm pull up resistors. But the data I'm ressiving from the ADXL 355 is stuck at 0 g's
To create the Pmod code i used the example found on the software for the adxl 345 and modified it.
Sorry for the delay in our response. Have you checked whether or not the ASEL pin of the ADXL355 is enabled? Thank you for your use of ADXL355.
How would i go about doing this? I currently have the MISO/ASEL pin connected to my digital I/0.
Thank you for your response,
I have enabled the Asel pin by connecting it to VDD(2.5 v) the adress of the ADXL 355 is now 0x53. I still get 0g's in response though
There may be a problem in your function loop as you have said that you have ported it from the ADXL345. The ADXL355 has almost 3 bytes of data per axis.
Maybe try to double check that part of the code first.
Best Regards, John
Thanks for your help John,
I will do that, do you know any other resources then the help tab in waveforms that i can use to learn the script used in the protocol?
