ADIS16475 Burst Read Function

Hi,

do I understand right that only the higher words of the accl and gyro data are transmitted when using burst read function?

So, if I want to receive "high resolution" IMU data the burst read function is not usable, because I have to reduce the spi clock to max 1MHZ for burst read function, but have to read the lower words with single 16 bit transfers for each register?

Regards,

Christoph

Thank you for posting this question. The Burst Mode response is not configurable, so we do recommend using single register reads to collect data, when  you want to read the 32-bit results. Its worth noting that you really only need 16-bit information, when operating at maximum update rates and not using any of the user-configurable filtering.  The lower-word registers merely capture the bit growth from internal filtering, so they aren't necessary, when not using the internal filters. Hope that helps.
