Some may have noticed what looks like an interesting anomaly in the data sheet for the ADXL375. On p. 9 of the data sheet, Fig. 18 shows Output Data Rate (ODR) vs. Current Consumption. At an ODR of 1600 Hz, there seems to be a funky dip in current consumption.
This dip can be explained by a change in the ADC sample rate. When the ODR = 50 Hz or 1600 Hz, the internal ADC sample rate is 1600 Hz. For all other ODRs, the internal ADC sample rate is 3200 Hz. Lower sample rate --> Lower current consumption!
