What value of RSENSE is recommended for most applications?
1.00 kΩ is the default value in the firmware, it gives the best combination of precision for cost in readily available resistors, as well as being a good compromise value for everything from PT-100 to 10k thermistors, maintaining a wide range of excitation currents. In certain applications, for example when only 10k thermistors are being used at low temperatures, RSENSE should be increased to near the mid-range of the expected sensor resistance, however this will greatly reduce the maximum excitation current that can be used.
