I need to write the firmware to control an ADF7030-1 with an Atmel MCU, of the SamC21 family. I read the software reference manual, and downloaded the "drivers" from the AD website. Unfortunately it seems that the drivers, while being obviously the result of a titanic effort are tailored to AD MCUs and look very hard to port to a different platform (besides being huge). So my question is: how did other people solve this problem? Did someone succeeded porting the AD drivers, or the best option is to start from scratch with the software reference, manually programming all the registers?
Switching the MCU to an AD one is not a viable option for our project.
Thank you for helping,
Right now, we only have drivers for ADI MCU's. If you really need to use Atmel MCU, you would have to make your own drivers. As you could see in the software reference manual, you only need SPI commands to control the ADF7030-1.
