All:
We are currently working with a ADF7021 transceiver IC. One thing we have noted is the RSSI seems to be low when compared to a known signal source with a calibrated amplitude. In our design it appears we are 15dB low, and on the evaluation board the RSSI appears to be 20dB low. My question is, does there need to be a calibration factor added to our MCU to bring the RSSI values into range? We do note, that if we increase the amplitude of our signal source in 1dB steps, the RSSI increases by 1dB, but the starting point is way off.
Thanks in advance!
