AD5933 Device Tree Patch

Devicetree support was added to a new feature branch (ad5933_dts_support) on our Linux repository: GitHub - analogdevicesinc/linux: Mirror of Linus Torvald's Kernel Tree . The changes will go soon to master too.

I saw the changes on Friday, but the branch no longer seems to be on GitHub or merged to master. Any idea where I can find it again?

Also, do you know the best method of controlling the clock input? Physically we are using the AD9833, but the Linux driver for that does not have a clock output (as far as I can tell). I'm not seeing any equivalent to the "fixed-clock" that will allow me to vary the frequency.

Hi Chris,

The feature was merged to rpi-4.9.y branch. It will go to master too.

You are right, the AD9833 driver doesn't have any output clock - we are exposing these outputs mostly for the Clock Generation & Distribution chips. If you need this, you have to implement it yourself - have a look over some of the drivers that do this (e.g. AD9523, AD9528). The AD5933 driver will also require some changes since in this version it reads the clock information only during the probing.
