iio_info fail detect AD-PQMON-SL

This is how you should connect to PQMON:

"iio_info -u serial:/dev/ttyYOURSERIALPORT,YOUR_BAUDRATE,YOUR_PARITY"

Hi REtz , I try to input the command but got error.

Command: iio_info -u serial:/dev/ttyACM0,115200,8n1

Troubleshooting steps I have taken:

1. Confirm that ttyACM0 is AD-PQMON-SL

2. Reimage OS then download libiio latest github version (v1.0)

3. Reimage OS then download libiio latest release (v0.26)

Hello, 

First things first, we do not recommend using the main branch of the libiio repository (i.e v1.0), as this is still under heavy development. Please use the v0.26 tag, or the libiio-v0 legacy branch. 

Acoording to the error screenshot, libiio is compiled only with the local, xml, ip and usb backends. The serial backend is not enabled by default. 

To access the serial backend, you'll have to do the following: 

On you linux computer, make sure you have installed libserialport by doing this : 
sudo apt install libserialport-dev

Also on your linux computer, if you don't have the libiio repository already: 
git clone https:/github.com/analogdevicesinc/libiio


cd libiio 

git checkout v0.26

mkdir build && cd build

cmake -DWITH_SERIALBACKEND=ON ../
make 
sudo make install

After this the command listed above ( iio_info -u serial:/dev/ttyACM0,115200,8n1 ) should work fine.

Thanks csuteu , the issue is resolved by install libserialport and run cmake command.

Correction:

1. Your command is -DWITH_SERIALBACKEND=ON
2. But there's an error CMake Warning: Manually-specified variables were not used by the project: WITH_SERIALBACKEND 
3. So I open /home/pi/libiio/build/CMakeCache.txt, verify name WITH_SERIAL_BACKEND:BOOL=ON
4. Then I edit the cmake command to -DWITH_SERIAL_BACKEND=ON, then it's worked
