Data Sample drop when transferring from PL to PS using DMA

Hi. I'm using Ad9361 with Zcu102 and running kuiper linux on it. The I/Q samples are recieved properly in the PL from the ADC but when I send them to PS using the default DMA provided in HDL by Analog devices, samples starts to drop at higher data rate. Particularly over 5MSPS. I have looked online but could not find any thing. Any help would be appreciated.

Memory is not infinite, so if you cannot make free space available for the DMA samples will be dropped between buffers/transfer. Within a transfer data will be contiguous but will all the buffers are consumed data is dropped until space is made.

I'm using the rx dma provided in the analog devieces hdl. Meaning its configuration is by default. How can I use the buffers in cyclic mode i.e. starts writing data on first buffer once all buffers are consumed(scatter gather mode).

Cyclic mode does not work that way. It simply repeats the first received buffer. Having the DMA constantly overwrite is not a supported behavior.
