Starting point for ADAU1966A linux driver

Question

I'd like to use the ADAU1966A on Linux, but I don't see an existing driver for it. What is the best (most similar) starting point among the existing drivers? 
 
 This is (almost) a carbon-copy of a similar question which was posed by vstorm _ ( see related topic _) , but as it was 12 years ago, I figured there might be a better starting point by now. 
 For instance, it seems two related ICs have had drivers written since then: the ADAU1961 _ and the ADAU1962 _

Hi, 
 ADAU1966A is very similar to ADAU1962, just the channel count is increased. Even the register space is very similar so from my perspective support can be added on the ADAU1962 linux driver for ADAU1966. 
 I'm even quite confident that if you probe ADAU1962 driver on ADAU1966A the first 12 DAC channels will work just fine.)
