AD9364 does not transmit any signal

Product Number: ADRV9364

Hi,

I am using the ADRV9364-Z7020 board with the transceiver configured in CMOS mode, single data rate, dual port, half duplex. In TDD mode, I see that the AD9364 correctly moves into TX state, but no signal is produced from the RF ports, although data ports and TX_FRAME are driven by the Zynq.

What have I missed?

  • Can you check using internal BIST that whether you are able to transmit the data in TX state? Refer to the below link for BIST config:

  • Thank you for your prompt response. I have tried using the BIST but unfortunately I cannot get any signal from the AD9364. The configuration parameters are pretty much the same as the no-OS reference design. Any other suggestion?

  • Are you able to initialize the chip successfully in CMOS mode? If you change to LVDS mode, is it working?

    swap_ports_enable should be 0 (default value) in case of ad9364 device.
