Linux Kernel configs needed for ADAU1761 codec driver

Category: Software
Product Number: ADAU1761

Hi,

I'm trying to add support for ADAU1761 codec in my linux build. Do I need to add the firmware(SigmaDSP firmware) file if I'm not using the DSP processor onboard?

To add support for codec is Enabling ADAU1761 codec driver in linux config and updating the device tree enough?

  • Hi ,

The codec is now detected and I'm getting MCLK, i2s clock and i2s data, but there is no audio output. In some implementations a dummy firmware file is loaded, is it required?

Also I think the ALSA configurations are not correct. Can you share me the default configurations?

    Thanks and Regards,
