ZCU102 + ADRV9002 major issues

Hello All,

After one week of working with the ZCU102 carrier board and ADRV9002 EVB, I detected the following issues:


1- I was able to generate a modulated signal after I changed the modulation scheme the buffer data was merged with previously created buffers. Generating single-tone signals results in a weird spectrum. Even power cycling the board didn't solve the issue. This issue is not present in ZC706 + ADRV9002 using a CMOS profile.

2- The boot of the board takes 10 minutes!!!!! very strange, please check the log file below.

  • Can you go back to 2019-R2 just to see if the board boots without the stalls? I'm not too concerned if the drivers don't appear for ADRV9002 but the stalls point to something wrong with the Zynq.

    -sudo shutdown -h now also works well!

    The API version is 48.8.7 (in 2019-R2) and the generated profile with TES 0.21 results in an error due to version incompatibility

    Now I realized calling receive function using 2021-r1 gave me some wrong Baseband data merged with previously received data!!!!!!

    All in all, ZCU102 does not operate correctly on the 2021-r1 image.

    Using an older version is also not an option since generating the correct profile file is not feasible.

    Please guide me in proceeding further, I'm totally blocked at this point.

     I think the problem comes from AES encryption AES-GCM engine for symmetric key encryption and decryption.

    [ 3.124144] zynqmp-aes firmware:zynqmp-firmware:zynqmp-aes: will run requests pump with realtime priority.

    I think it has something to do with encryption-disabled.
