AD9988-FMCB-EBZ and ZCU102

Hello,

I have a question from our customer about AD9988.
A ZynqMP / MPSoC Linux kernel is prepared for  AD9081 and AD9082.
It is introduced on the bellow page.
 wiki.analog.com/.../zynqmp

Our customer wants to use  zynqmp-zcu102-rev10-ad9081-m8-l4.zip (2019_R2 pre) for AD9988-FMCB-EBZ in place of AD9081-FMCCA-EBZ with Xilinx ZCU102.
Will the above zcu102 image( zynqmp-zcu102-rev10-ad9081-m8-l4.zip) work with the AD9988-FMCB-EBZ if I use only the same features as the AD9081?

Best regards,

y_suzuki

The FPGA bitstream and most other things should work. However the Linux device driver checks the device ID and if it doesn't match 9081/9082 it aborts early. It's a pretty easy addition, but requires a kernel and devicetree rebuild.

I'm going to add some more generics to the device driver, however the devicetree must then always match the device compatible in question.
