AD7999 External Reference Voltage activation for Linux

Hello Team,

I am trying to enable external reference voltage in AD7999 chip using Rcar evaluation board with Linux kernel. (IIO framework)

In the available driver code, there is no option to set the external voltage reference configuration. I tried to enable the D3 bit (REF_SEL) of the 8-bit configuration register but was not successful.

Could you please suggest me the steps to set the REF_SEL bit so that the external reference voltage is selected.

Thanks,

Chandra Sekaran

  • Chandra,

This issue is probably best serviced by our Linux driver team as they would be better suited to ask the correct questions with regards to the KERNEL etc. to get you up and running.  I assume you are referring to the Renesas R-CAR evaluation kit.   Can you please for the driver team all the pertinent OS and driver versions you are using in a reply so they have that information.  I am going to move this post to their thread so they see the post directly.   I hope you get up and running soon.

As a reference you'll find this post under Design Center > Linux Software Drivers.
