i am a newbie so sorry if my question sounds dumb.
I have an Adalm-Pluto and would like to perform a spectral analysis with it.
As far as I understood it correctly, my required data can be captured with the function "iio_readdev". Unfortunately I don't really know what to do with this data. I dont even know what kind of data this is.
I also saw the example on "https://wiki.analog.com/resources/tools-software/linux-software/libiio/iio_readdev" but it just confused me more because when i plot the same data, my graph looked different.
So my question is: How do I have to process the outputdata from "iio_readdev" to get a frequency image.
Thank you for any help!
Libiio does not contain a plotting mechanism itself. The Python module containing the plotting procedure is just an example of how one could use the data obtained from libiio for generating user-friendly…
Here you have an example for plotting the data using python: https://github.com/analogdevicesinc/pyadi-iio/blob/master/examples/pluto.py
is there an example for platting the data using c#? I have never programmed with python before and my end application should be in visual basic so it would be great if i can work with c#.
this example should still help me alot! thank you
you can find a working C# example here. This example contains some basic libiio functionalities implemented with the C# bindings, including the read samples part.
If you have any further questions please let me know! Thank you!
I can't get the program to run yet but by just looking at it, i can see that it doesn't include a way to also plot the graph. So again, i would just end up with some data...
By looking at the example provided by Sergui there is the matplot libary which you can use for plotting graphs. Is there also a way to do it in .NET?
Libiio does not contain a plotting mechanism itself. The Python module containing the plotting procedure is just an example of how one could use the data obtained from libiio for generating user-friendly plots. We don't have such an example for C#, but it should be quite similar with the Python example. On a quick search on google I found this discussion, proposing different libraries for plotting in C#.
Hope this helps you! If you have any further questions, please let me know!
