I am trying to install GNU radio with pybombs. After installed pybombs, I successfully added the following recipes:
However, when I installed GNU radio and other goodies by executing the following command:
$ pybombs prefix init ~/prefix -a myprefix -R gnuradio-default
the installation was fail. The error information was as follows:
PyBOMBS.prefix - INFO - Installing default packages for prefix...
PyBOMBS.prefix - INFO -
PyBOMBS.install_manager - INFO - Phase 1: Creating install tree and installing binary packages:
PyBOMBS.install_manager - ERROR - Package has no install method: python-zmq
Is there anybody know the reason and help to solve the problem?
Will move this to Linux Software Drivers.
It might sound scary (and it does) but Pybombs needs to be run as root.
It will generate packages of the various software dependencies for your distribution, and install them.
Thanks for the comment, Paul.
I think I ran pybombs in root. please see the follow screen information when re-ran pybombs:
PyBOMBS - INFO - PyBOMBS Version 2.3.1a0
PyBOMBS.prefix - WARNING - There already is a prefix in `/cygdrive/c/Users/Ma Yugang/prefix'.
Continue using this path Y/[N]? y
Alias `myprefix' already exists, overwrite Y/[N]? y
Is this in root? Do you have any comment?
You're running pybombs on Linux, right?
This log suggests that you're trying via cygwin under Windows... which is definitely not supported.
Yes, I ran pybombs under Windows through cygwin.
Must I install linux and run pybombs in Linux?
Is there any solution to installation of GNU radio through pybombs (or other approach) in Windows?
Thanks for the help.
