I am having difficulty booting from the SD card provided from ADI with the ADRV9008 evaluation board.
Things to note:
Booting on the ZCU102 (SW6 set to 1110 for SD boot as per the UG for that board).
This issue seems to be native to the SD boot image or the ZCU102 board, as both SD cards boot fine on the ZCU706 board we have.
Just trying to ping here to see if anyone has run into problems with configuring the ZCU102 to boot.
If so, should I focus on correcting the SD boot image? or is my ZCU board not set up correctly?
Linux should always boot, even if the card isnt attached.
Make sure you have moved the necessary files into the root of the BOOT partition of the SD Card: https://wiki.analog.com/resources/tools-software/linux-software/zynq_images#preparing_the_image
For zynqmp make sure you are using the kernel file with name Image not uImage.
There is a root partition and a BOOT partition, attached are pictures showing both folders on my Linux host PC. Which files do I need to copy over and to where? Does uImage, from the BOOT partition (right window), need to be in the boot folder on the root partition (left window)?
Ignore the last reply, after redownloading the image file (2018_R1-2018_06_26.img.xz) and creating a new SD bootable card, I was able to get the following folders (after rearranging the subdirectory files out to the base directory):
The good news is the boot load LED (DS1) starts out green, but after a minute or so it turns red and I get the same error light as before - PS_ERR_OUT (DS35) turning red.
Can you provide the output of the UART?
Hello again Travis,
This is what I get when I minicom into ttyUSB0:
Seems to hang up on or at the FSBL...
