We cannot repeat this on our end. What do you have between the board and the internet?
We are using a Zedboard and the ad9361 card is connected to zedboard. the lan cable is connected to the zedboard
We created the SD card with different images from the link
WE are trying to run a simple LTE exampe using matlab. The first error we get is " unable to connect to IIO server". On debugging trhough the matlab code we found that it is not able to connect to the board.
when we run iio_info -n ip_address_of_zedboard we get the following error "unable to create iio buffer: Broken pipe"
So we tried to run adi_update_tools.sh but we get the above error( See the above post by SAJ)
We cannot even ssh into the board.
The connection hangs on

The following is the log from my normal linux desktop machine machine. I can download it easily . My network doesnt have an internal 192. addresses. all the local addresses start with 172... in our network

Same thing doesnt work on zedboard. I suspect the openssl package on linaro version of linux on zedboard but am not able to get through.
I have the latest image 2018 version 2018_R1-2018_06_26.img.xz
I have tried other images too but same result. I changed the zedboard too.

That's right, 126.96.36.199 seems to be a Public IP that belongs to GitHub, Inc. . Sorry for the confusion.
There might be a routing problem on your network. Does the Zedboard get the correct DNS server locally?
You can also set the IP of the Zedboard to be static and directly connect it to a PC.
Its a static ip . The desktop which I am using is also in the same subnet. both are pointing to the same DNS. One difference is that I have to manually add the nameserver in the /etc/resolv.conf of the zedboard otherwise it doesnt ping any links. I can ping to github or any other domain without any issues after that.
we do have a local dns server but its working fine since The desktop connects fine and downloads the libiio easily which can be seen from the logs.
The problem which I have noticed is to do with any https connection . incompatible openssl I guess. If you see the logs when I ssh into the zedboard it is something similar to this link
Another interesting part: The original sd card from analog devices which I hadd recieved had the 2015 image I believe. using that I could ssh into the zedboard . Even the LTE example on matlab was working fine. No LIBIIIO SERVER connection problems. We even ran the ADSB examples wiithout any problems.
After some days the LTE example stopped working ( after 2 tries I believve)
So we loaded the latest image on the sd card. Now we cannot even ssh into the zedboard. It hangs on ssh2_MSG_KEXINIT.
The same thing happens withe the older linux images.
My guess is that there is some NAT translation issue and some routing problem. All communications run over the network so any instability there will cause all applications like MATLAB, IIO-Scope, ... to fail.
At the moment I would suggest setting a static IP using the built-in script on the board "enable_static_ip.sh <ip address>" then directly connecting it to a PC to run IIO-Scope and MATLAB.
I will try that.
We will be updating the release images to newer Linux distribution in coming months.
This issue seems to be a mix of old-distro + networking configuration issues.
Has this been resolved ?
