Does ADI can support ADE9153A and ADE7953 linux driver ?

We were doing a project which use ADI ADE7953 or(ADE9153A) devices ,and we bought a ADE7953 EVAL BOARD , we wanted to use ADE7953 linux IIO driver  on zynq zed  device.

Can ADI support  ADE7953 or ADE9153A linux IIO driver ?  If not ,we wanted to port or custom design the driver, can anyone provide some iio devices kernel debug suggestions and tools .

Thanks very much!

Best Regards

  • Hey,

There are no Linux or no-OS drivers for ADE7953 or ADE9153A yet.

I'm not sure about a plan to work on these in the next mid-to-long term.

Ideally, Linux drivers [for ADI parts] go into the Linux IIO subsystem.

We develop the Linux drivers on the official Linux IIO mailing lists:

    http://vger.kernel.org/vger-lists.html#linux-iio

You can take a look at the drivers/iio subfolder in the Linux folder:

    github.com/.../iio

Usually, we first develop drivers in-house, review them internally, then send them upstream to the Linux IIO sub-system.

We don't have guides for developing Linux drivers, since the process is not controlled by ADI. We try to adhere to the Linux & Linux IIO standards when developing and sending drivers/patches.

    Thanks

    Alex
