AD8099について質問があります。
データシートに入力バイアス電流「ー6μA」と記載がありますが、このときのマイナスとはどのような意味になるのでしょうか。
A:
OPアンプの入力バイアス電流がプラスかマイナスかは、入力段がPNPトランジスタか、NPNトランジスタの構成かに依存します。
トランジスタではバイアス電流が流れますが、PNPトランジスタであれば、ベースからバイアス電流に相当するベース電流が流れ出ます。
つまりPNPトランジスタが入力段であれば、バイアス電流は入力端子から流れ出る方向に向かいます。
以下の図はAD8099のデータシートから抜粋したものです。ここではIB+, IB-がOPアンプに流れ込む方向で規定されています。
この考え方を基本とすれば、AD8099で入力バイアス電流がマイナスであるということは、バイアス電流が流れ出る方向に流れていることを示しています。
なおデータシートに記載されていますが、/DISABLE端子をプラスの電源電圧からマイナス0.7V以内にすれば、バイアス電流キャンセル回路というものが働き、入力バイアス電流を200nA以下に低減させることができます。
しかしこの場合は、入力換算ノイズレベルが倍になる点に注意が必要です。関連する部分を本FAQの最後に抜粋しておきます。
