MAX14827A is an improved version of MAX14827. The improvements in MAX14827A are: 
  
 
 Improved HBM ESD (this is not spec’d in either datasheet, so no difference in the DSs) 
 Improved reverse polarity hot-plug performance (again, not explicitly spec’d in the datasheet, so no difference in the DSs) 
 Clarified the propagation delay timing for conditions when the driver output goes into a high impedance state. These times (low-to-high in NPN and high-to-low in PNP) are dependent on the load. 
 
 we did not include block diagram for the ESD and hot-plug improvements, as these changes are proprietary.
