Most Current Limit Switches (CLS) act to limit the current only and are not designed to regulate their output voltage. In some cases, as the CLS reaches the programmed maximum current limit, we can see the voltage noise increase on the output of the CLS. If voltage noise is a concern at or around the targeted clamping current, a 10uF to 47uF capacitor should be placed at the output of the CLS to reduce the voltage noise.
