GMSL Serdes parts have some setting pins, such as I2CSEL, BWS, CXTP and so on. And they have to have pullup or pulldown resistance on each pin.
Customers using multiple GMSL parts on single board, must not connect the same function pins of multiple parts with single resistance.
Because these setting pins are common to output pins and the function will change from input to output after startup with some delay.
Some delay has variation for latching the setting so that one setting pin changes to output pin and output status changes, such as low to high or high to low, this condition affect another setting pin.
For example, building surround view system and using four MAX96706 parts.
Connecting four I2CSEL pins with single pullup resistance for enabling to change control channel in feature use case.
After startup, one part is recognized as I2C control channel but I2CSEL pin is changed to low so that other parts are recognized as UART.
Cutomer experienced that they could recognize only one or two parts as I2C but they couldn't read the other parts with I2C.
