Can you provide any information on failure mechanisms of iCoupler devices, specifically short circuit?
Answer
Short circuit is safe guarded against by adding a resistor in series with theoutput.
Another way would be to add a resistor in series with Vdd.
We do not recommend exposing an output pin to a short circuit without theabove protection.
The higher the value the better.
