When the MAX14830 is in SPI mode, can the CS pin of the SPI be directly grounded to reduce the number of control pins?
When MAX14830 is in SPI mode, CS is used to control the beginning and end of communication. Since MAX14830 supports Burst mode, once the communication begins, it cannot exit Burst mode if CS is grounded; CS needs to be pulled high to indicate the end of Burst mode. Therefore, in SPI mode, CS cannot be directly connected to GND.
