Q:
Can I operate and/or shutdown the MAX3362AKA above +125°C and below +150°C?
A:
The MAX3362AKA is rated to operate over the “A" automotive temperature range (-40°C to +125°C). The datasheet states a maximum junction temperature of +150°C. Therefore, there will be no damage to the part if operated and/or shutdown below +150°C. However, the electrical specifications listed in the datasheet are not guaranteed for temperatures above +125°C. Note also that the device has an internal thermal shutdown threshold of +150°C (typical) with 10°C hysteresis (typical). If the device is heated to +150°C it may be in a thermal shutdown state until the die temperature cools by 10°C to +140°C
