FAQ Can the MAX9271/2 transmit power via a coaxial cable?

Yes. The power supply and signal use different frequency band. Power supply lies in DC and low frequency band, whereas signals in higher frequency band. Power supply and signals can pass through the same coaxial cable for transmission. What needs to be considered: There will be voltage drop on the coaxial cable when the power supply is transmitted over it. The voltage drop needs to be considered on the power supply end. A higher voltage may be needed. On the other side, the transmitted DC voltage needs to be stabilized at the receiver.
