FAQ Can I2C/UART passthrough channels access the GMSL2 device registers?

No, I2C/UART pass-through cannot access GMSL2 device registers. They only provide access to local device registers and provide control of the peripheral devices. However, the I2C/UART primary control channel can access device registers and connected peripheral devices. Some devices have routing capabilities between the control channel and the passthrough channels.
