Can you please help me to figure out best solution for firmware downloading in BF 531 processor in production environment?
Due to mishandling and other issues, ICE 1000 emulators gets short circuited with production team. Is there any cost effective solution to update firmware in BF 531 processor?
Can you give me some idea about isolation between debugger and computer, so that it can't get short circuit?
If the debugger is connected through a USB interface you could look into an in-line USB isolator such as the LTP2884:
Solutions - LTP2884 - In-line USB Isolator
Thanks for your prompt reply.
We have tried with USB isolator IC from Analog Devices : ADUM4160. But ICE 1000 debugger is not working with that. It is showing that "Could not obtained firmware version. Please shut down VDSP++ and again plug in ICE 1000 debugger"
Can you tell me that what is the difference between ADUM4160 and LTP2884?
The LTP2884 contains the LTM2884 Isolated USB mmodule. Both the ADuM4160 and LTM2884 support USB 2.0 isolation up to Full Speed throughput (12 Mbps). Could it be that the debugger requires high-speed (480 Mbps)?
I think ICE 1000 is working on 5 MHz operation. So there should be no issue with 12 Mbps throughput.
I don't know the speed requirement of ICE 1000 debugger.
Can you please tell me that how much speed is required?
