buffer for 1-Wire BUS ADG3301

Hello,

I would need a buffer for an 1-Wire BUS. I find ADG3301.

1. I want to connect VCCA and VCCY both with 5V, what happens? On the first page I find: For proper operation, VCCA must always be less than VCCY. Is there a better alternative for my case?

I think the fastest signal is an 1us pulse. I want to connect max. 3 buffers in series.

    The ADG3301 is a level translator with VCCA and VCCY supplies to set the logic levels on each I/O side of the device. If you plan to have both supplies run at the same 5V node, I'm not sure how do you plan to have a level translation there?

    May I know to what levels do you wish to have a level translation? To what level do you wish to have at A side and Y side I/O pins?

    In the second case, I need only the buffer without level translation. The supply is alway 5V.

    I can not found a buffer for one signal. 

    Do you have any idea?

    - With regards to the 1-wire bus, will this be used for a parallel interface or also with serial interface (ie; I2C/SPI)?

     

    1. In the first case, I need a buffer with a level translation from 5V supply to 3,3V supply.

    - The ADG3301 can do this however output driving capability is limited. The ADG3301 is designed to drive CMOS compatible loads. If current driving capability is required, it is recommended to use buffers. 

     

    2. In the second case, I need only the buffer without level translation. The supply is alway 5V.

    - By supply, do you meant that input/output is also at 5V level?

    the 1-wire bus is a serial interface, like I2C. It has one biderectional wire.

    1. Do you have an idea for a buffer ?

    I would recommend to have a look at the LTC4315, a 2-Wire Bus Buffer with High Noise Margin for I2C interface. This might be suitable for your 5V to 3.3V level translation with buffers.

    thank you ver much. I will try this.

    I would connect the 1-Wire with SDA.

    And I would connect SCL with a pullup to VCC.

    See you any problems, because of the Stuck Bus Disconnect and Recovery ? Because I have not really I2C. I use 1-wire.
