ADuM144x Family intrinsic Safety Certification

I have found the intrinsic safety certifications for ATEX and IECEx.  Is there a certification pending for the US and Canadian certification (UL/cUL 60079-11 or CSA 22.2).  These are outside the scope of the ATEX and IECEx certifications.  Acceptance by UL or CSA for intrinsic safety is critical for my applications.  We use optocouplers for isolation because we can verify their construction for creepage and clearance spacings.  Based on my review of the datasheet I don't know if i could verify this without testing, or without a construction drawing, perhaps CF0001 mentioned in the ATEX report.

Additionally what are the differences in the following pairs

ADuM1440/ADuM1445

ADuM1441/ADuM1446

ADuM1442/ADuM1447

The pin outs on pages 14-16 do not indicate any difference between the pairs of parts.

We are currently not getting additional US versions of the ATEX and IECEX certifications.  However, we can provide the test report from CSA/SIRA under NDA which contains the internal construction detail that will let you use the existing certifications in the US.

I will contact you directly to discuss this further.

As far as the pin descriptions, these assumed that the part was powered and functional.  So there is no difference when the part is in operation.

The exception to this is when the enables do not match across the part, and the device goes into its default state when powered.  The default value comes into play when the refresh is turned off on the transmit side, bit it is expecting refresh on the receive side.  The part thinks the transmit side is off, and goes into default.  This is forbidden in the table, so the states do not reflect it.  It will not damage the chip to operate like this, it just give unpredictable results.
