Current consumption for RS485 transceivers?

I am building a prototype that uses a RS485 BUS to communicate many devices and current consumption is a crucial part in this project. In order to set the communication up, I have been looking at the transceiver catalogue. However, I couldn't find the current consumption while sending or receiving data in the datasheet specifications of any of the products. I also didn't find a graphic showing
Icc(mA) vs. Datarate(Mbps). Do you know where is this information available?

In particular, I have identified the following products to be valid for my solution:
- ADM485E
- ADM1487E
- ADM3486E
- ADM4852

Thank you in advance.

  • Hi Alex,

We don't collect Icc vs speed data in our product testing. But if you can specify the speed you want to run at, I can order some boards to test them. It may take some time. This will be just a lab test of typical value collection but not a gauranteed specification in our datasheet. Does it work for you?
