I'm prototyping a product including the ADuM5202 isolator IC. I'm seeing odd behaviour on the logic outputs VOA and VOB.
The rest of the observed voltages are as expected i.e. I'm feeding it with 3.3v, seeing just slightly above 3.3v on the Viso side, etc. but when either input VIA or VIB is high, the relevant output pin sits at about 0.93v. The output net is connected directly to an input pin on a microprocessor, there's no other load on it.
Am I missing something? Vcc is decoupled with 0.1uF and 10uF caps as per the datasheet.
My guess would be that your processor inputs are actually programmed as outputs driving low.
I would cut the TRIG1 trace and see if VOA goes up to 3.3V...
Thanks Krz but I'd already suspected that and baked a circuit with just the isolator and supporting circuitry. Same results. I probably should have noted that in the original post.
I've ordered a few new samples from a separate source just in case it's a dodgy batch or got mangled in the post or somesuch.
