    Our customer will use ADuM6402.
    
 
    Could you give me your advice what do below difference of value of clearance and creepage  mean ?
    
 
    VDE document downloaded on your web site says below.
    
 
    Clearance: Over 8.5mm
    
 
    Creepage: Over 8.5mm
    
 
    (Please refer attached file P.16 psition 76)
    
 
    ADuM6402 datasheet P.9 table 16 says below
    
 
    Clearance: 8.0mm
    
 
    Creepage 7.6mm ( RW16 package) ,  8.3mm(RI16 package)

      The two agencies do their own measurements, and arrive at different values.  CSA is more conservative.  Unless the customer is tied to a certification agency, they can probably pick the one that fits his application best.
