Adm2587 transmit error

Hi Everyone!

I would like to ask for a help about adm2587 interface and pull-down/pull-up resistors on the pins.

My interface is viewable on the attachment. Now the receiver is working, but the transmit does not send data, only 0.

What is the problem? I connect A and Y to A+,  B and Z to B- to my RS485 USB CONVERTER.

  • Hi RAnslow,

The second schematic is correct. I use 10K resistors to pull up / down my PIC pins. This configuration with max485 or sn75176 works good.

"What is the purpose of R24 and R26. Are these current limiting (protection) resistors ?" - Yes.

    R4 and R7 is a biasing resistors.

"Which configuration are you using? " All jumpers are off.

"Which configuration is working for you?" None.

    Thanks for your answer.

    Any idea?
