I’m planning to use both ADM2484 and ADM2487 on my RS485 expansion module (and eventually to the baseboard). I need an easy way to generate the second isolated supply for the second transceiver. Do you, or Analog Devices, have a recommendation for this? For example, is there a reference design for the ADM2487 that provides a second output winding on the driven transformer? Or can I connect two transformers to the ADM2487.
Hi tmain,
The ADM2487E integrated oscillator driver was designed for use with one external transformer only.

I can suggest that you use the ADM2587E, which is a fully integrated signal and power isolated transceiver.
The ADM2587E includes an integrated isolated dc-to-dc power supply, which eliminates the need for an external dc-to-dc isolation block.
