ADuM5230 with noisy isoGND

Hi,

I am trying to use ADuM5230 to function as an AC switch in my resonant converter design.

The floating ground between two MOSFETs (with back-to-back configuration, having their source as common reference point) is connected to GNDiso, however, with a lot of noises as shown in the attached file.

Would ADuM5230 be able to operate in such a condition?

  • William: This large amount of noise voltage on the isolated ground may be an issue for operation if the ADuM5230 circuit internally sees a large noise voltage on the isolated GND or Isolated supply. Are you experiencing any problems now with your circuit? I recall you contacted Engineer Zone 2 months ago with an output voltage upset issue with your ADuM5230 circuit and that it was fixed when you improved the bypass capacitor.  Can you send me your existing circuit schematic and tell me the bypass capacitor values, type and how close they are to the GNDISO and VISO pins?
