Regarding the ADuM5202: How much current may I source from VOA (or VOB) when VIA is high?
Hello CEI
The output impendence of VOA and VOB is about 70 ohms. The outputs can source 4mA without dropping significant voltage, the voltage level drops linearly with load.
There are a few issues to consider,
The power dissipation in the output, how much power is available from the isoPower, and the voltage level.
We recommend 10mA, but the outputs should be able to source 22mA without causing damage if the power is available to do it. We spec them low because some of our industrial certification test outputs at 100% overload, and we wanted to preserve safety margin for that test.

Hi MSCantrell,
Thanks for the information. I'm only looking to source 1mA-5mA, so it looks like this chip should be fine for that.
Anthony
Yes, you should have no problems.
