Thank you for your patience. The MAX3128 DC-DC operates in discontinuous conduction mode at low-load conditions. When VCC = 1.8V, at low-load currents, pulses may be as far as 200us apart (no load or very little load). The switching frequency increases to something closer to 200kHz (typ) under heavy loads.
