Inconsistency after soldering

Category: Hardware
Product Number: ADUM1400

Hello! I am using the ADUM1400 on a CCA in several places, all with a similar I/O. The CCA was originally manufactured using a standard reflow technique to solder on the components. After one of the ADUM1400s failed, it was replaced with another ADUM1400 using a soldering iron. Several ADUM1400s have been tried with no success. Each time the chips fail in a different way. Some times the outputs are all stuck HIGH, some times one input controls multiple outputs etc.

My theory is that we are potentially breaking the ADUM1400s while we attempt to solder them on the CCA. Have you heard of this device not being able to withstand soldering?

Thank you!
