We're attempting to use a MAX96714 to interface an existing customer hardware design (custom camera device) that is using a MAX9259 serializer, i.e. GMSL1. The existing camera uses a UART interface, not I2C, over the GMSL1 control channel.
Is there a configuration where in GMSL1 mode, the MAX96714 can be configured via I2C, but then still forward a UART in bypass mode?
Or does the MAX96714, when paired with a GMSL1 serializer, only support a single interface (either UART or I2C - depending on what the serializer uses)?
