Dear Engineer,
We would like to use the MAX22664C for isolation purposes. In the datasheet, there is a mention of the default state of the component, described as follows:
"The MAX2266_B/C feature default-high outputs. The default is the state the output assumes when the input is not powered or if the input is open-circuit. The MAX22663-MAX22666 has two supply inputs (VDDA and VDDB) that independently set the logic levels on either side of the device."
I understand that in the case of no power from VDDA, the output value will be high if VDDB is present. However, I wanted to clarify what is actually meant by "open circuit." Does this mean that if the input is connected but not driven (i.e., floating or in a high-impedance state), it assumes the default value (high)? Or does it only refer to the case where no input is connected to the component at all (open input)?
Best regards,
Diallo
