Product Number: LTC2872
Is it possible to use LTC2872 as two RS422 transceiver without the DC-DC external circuitry? it’s not clear to me if this DC-DC boost regulator is needed only in RS232 mode and can be left unmonted in RS422 or RS485 modes, as they usually get their references from VCC (3.3 ~ 5V).
Here is a schematic of LTC2872 with the connections I'm planning to use without the DC-DC components.
