Hi,
Yes, the unused channel input should be tied high or low via a weak pull up resistor to prevent the output from toggling in a noisy environment. I would recommend setting the channel input to the lower power consumption state where the transmitter is off. Tie the input high for the ADuM162N1 and low for the ADuM162N0 to do so. The output channel would be left floating.

Since this is CMOS, can the input be connected to Vdd directly? Or necessarily through a resistor (~ 10k) ?
Gerard please explain why a pull-up resistor ? Why not a direct connection to Vdd ?
