MAX3397E is not working properly

Category: Hardware
Product Number: MAX3397E

Hi Team,

I am utilizing the MAX3397E component as a level translator for GPIO signals. The design is illustrated in the image below, which includes additional pull-down resistors connected to POC_SW2_EN and POC_SW1_EN.

Q1: The IC's pin 4 (POC_SW2_EN_1V2) receives a high-level, 1.2V applied logic signal. We are, however, observing a voltage of 0.5V on pin 1, POC_SW2_EN. The pull-down resistor has a value of 1K. How come it's showing 0.5V? The voltage should be 3.3V.

Q2: We get a 3.3V reading when the pull-down resistor is set to 100K. Could you clarify the internal circuit?

Q3: Without high/low signals or SW configuration on POC_SW2_EN_1V2, POC_SW2_EN's signal is 3.3V (100k pull-down) or low (1k pull-down). Could you please explain?

Regards,

Virali
