Hi,
I had made a design with ADM3057EBRWZ transceivers. There was a overcurrent failure on the 5V line of on my PCB.
In my design 5V was used as VCC pin (pin no 3) of ADM3057EBRWZ IC. After the overcurrent failure I'm trying to find the root cause and what ICs have been affected by the failure.
I checked the impedance from B6, B7 and B8 pins to GND pins (B1 to B5) and I'm observing the following:
We have 7 such ADM3057E ICs on our PCB. I have listed the min and max value from my observation:
Impedance measurement between Impedance (in ohms)
pin 3 (VCC) and pin 1 (GND1) 38 ohms - 76.6 ohms
pin 16 (VISOIN ) and pin 11 (GND2) 37kohms - 52.8 kohms
I wanted a know if these readings are alright or has the IC been damaged.
Thank you,
Abhishek
Hi,
I measured a fresh ADM3057 and observed:
I think that the isolated-side of your parts are likely OK; however, the non-isolated sides likely have been damaged.
