Data output during disable transition

Category: Hardware
Product Number: ADUM1410

Regarding to ADUM1410, we saw unexpected output signal during disable transition low to high.

See below for the condition and let me know it is normal or not.

VDD1, VDD2 : 5V

VIA~VID : 5V

CTRL2 : 5V

When DISABLE is low:0V to high:5V, 3~4uSEC width pulse was come out from VOA~VOD.

  • HI Kouchi-san,

When the DISABLE pin is driven high, the outputs (VOA-VOD) will transition to the default state a determine by the CTRL2 pin. As you indicated that the control pin is high, VOA to VOD should remain high in this instance. Is this behavior repeatable and observed on every transition of the DISABLE pin? This isolator was release >10 years ago. I will need to order some samples to investigate this issue. Can you provide a schematic and some additional details on the frequency of this glitch?

    Best Regards,

    Ger

  • Welcome back, Gerard-san.

Let me reply for your questions, below.

The behavior is repeatable and could see everytime with the condition.

Even if we do put no data, the glitch is occurred. So that no matter of logic circuit and application such as frequency.

Please confirm your side if possible at all.
