Isolated dc-dc converter with lower EMI

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: ADuM5020

Dear Sir,

Our customer designed isolated DC/DC power supply circuit by using ADuM5020, referring its evaluation circuit. 180Mhz switching noise from their circuit was observed larger than they expected. They have checked the board referring a application note, but the issue has not been fixed so far. Are there any isolated dc/dc converter that have lower emission than ADuM5020? Does ADuM6020 have the same in emission standpoint? Please advise.
Regards,

Koide

  • Hello Koide, Please reach out to our application team directly, the customers design can be reviewed in detail and recommendations made. There are many details to consider ensuring that EMI is mitigated effectively. The ADuM6020 would produce similar results, and these products would be the best in class for completely integrated isopower. Additional mitigation strategies or alternate solutions can be pursued.

  • Hello IsoKeith,

Thank you for your advice. I understand your suggestion. I wanted to know alternate devices because our customer didn't have much time to review due to end-customer's evaluation schedule. They would choose competitor's isolated power module tentatively that they have already used for existing product for this time. In next prototype, we are going to propose ADuM5020 again and review their design with our FAE.

    Regards,

    Koide
