Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: MAX22195

MAX22195 + photocoupler

The MAX22195 datasheet has an example of using digital ISO for output.

Q1: Can I use a photocoupler instead of digital ISO?
Q2: What is the maximum output current of the OP terminal?

Parents
  • Hello UBOTI, you can use optocoupler or digital iso of your choice on MAX22195's OP output to provide isolation. Analog devices recommends digital iso to match with the high-speed operation of MAX22915.

The MAX22195 OP output voltage drops as the output current goes up. Analog Devices guarantees <0.4V drop with 4mA at output. Further increasing the output current will further reduce the OP output voltage drop.
